Rebanded home - Water bill implications?

Hi, does anybody know if there is a link between the amount you are charged for your water rates and the band of your house? If it is linked, is there scope for claiming back from water utility companies too? Here's hoping...... Cheers in advance.

Pretty certain there is no link, water rates are based on the rateable value of your house.
Of course I'm assuming you live in a house that existed during the old rates system.
No idea about houses that where built after the rating system was abolished.

    Newer houses have water meters.

In Scotland water and sewerage are seperate charges within your Council Tax bill and are therefore directly related to your band, however any refund would need to be requested from Scottish Water.
