Paid salary overseas

Hi

I am looking for a bit of advice.

I work abroad for the US Govt and have my salary paid into an offshore bank account.

I own my home in the UK and my wife lives here but I only spend 3 months of the year here.

I have asked so many people for advice but so far everyone differs.

Advice appreciated

    1. If you are in full-time employment overseas then IR20 probably still applies and so you are not UK resident.
    2. Is so there is no UK tax payable on your earnings.
    3. However there may be tax in the country where you live/work.
What contrary advice have you been given?
