    Interesting.

No mention of the year on year figure being up 1.1%

    Why is that Graham? ;)

How come you never posted this when it came out on twitter a few days ago? Oh yes it only had a minus figure in front of it and no year figure was mention. If it had been a positive you would have started a thread about it like you did for the previous month.
The 1.1% is the same as the previous month so is not up.

Haha. The underlying percentage is the same but the price will be up.

..which is possibly the most hypocritical post I've ever read.

BTW looks like last month must have been revised down to -0.6 from -0.3 too. Annual is unchanged of course since prices were falling then too.

Becuase I learnt from yourself, and took it from their twitter blog...which you do when it's positive.

It doesn't have the figures for yearly, only monthly, therefore, I can't include it.

Where are YOU getting the 1.1% figure from considering the data release isn't out yet? Jumping the gun?

No, but it's hard to conclude it's 1.1%.

Unless you want to show me. YOY, worked out, is 1%.

1.1% was last months yearly figure. Let's be honest, was a quick glance not taking any notice of the months being calculated, resulting in a minor error....that minor error then leading to a small trip for Hamish.

Yes, you are right. I was using the HPC data (Here http://www.housepricecrash.co.uk/indices-land-registry-national-monthly.php), showing 159,999 for october. Easier data to access. Must have been revised.
  • Sigh. something as small as 0.3% in either direction is meaningless --- as are MOM figures.

Deal in YOY figures and fluctuations of at least 0.5% in any direction. Anything less isnt worth the time needed to type it, or read it.

As for me .... Im just really bored today

    I refer you to posts 2 & 4.
I understand you can be bored when you see threads like this.
    Noise....... ;)
I think you'll find that I have agreed there is noise with monthly figures on rises as well.

You never see me posting a thread about a 0.3% rise or fall..

In fact I dont recall making any threads about monthly index releases ;)
