This is only worth looking at if you are considering buying a hotbin composter anyway as it's still not a cheap item. I have 2 & they do perform very well maintaining constant 60°C - 70°C temperatures which results in everything composting incredibly quickly.
The extras included are:
25 litre bag of bulking agent
Long-stem thermometer
Raking stick
Winter 'kick start' heater
Or in plain english that is a bag of partially composted wood chip which is required to keep everything aerated (obviously you can make your own if you have a shredder, innoculating woodchip with stropharia [winecap] spawn drastically speeds up the decomposition rate to get it to the right stage to use).
A thermometer for monitoring internal temperature which is typically 10°C-20°C higher than the temperature on the exhaust vent thermometer
A handle for a radiator roller to mix/aerate the compost.
A 2L plastic bottle with tight fitting lid which can be filled with boiling water & used by impatient people as a hot water bottle to kick start the composting process.
I have made use of everything but the kick start heater although saying that none of these items are essential to use the compost bin but if you are planning on buying a hotbin anyway then you might as wll get them thrown in free.
If you have any questions about the composter then feel free to ask as said I have 2 of them (& a slight obsession with composting things) so I have a good idea what they can do & what weaknesses they have.
