Any help on which stakeholder pension provider please?

Hi, has anybody any recommendations which would narrow the field for me? I'm 39 and hoping to open a stakeholder pension, as low risk as possible. I'm hoping to work as long as possible before cashing it in, so am hoping for another 27 or so years of employment.
i don't earn very much, 13k per year, and am hoping to invest between 2-5k every year. (Obviously I will be on the lookout for a better salary but I found it very difficult to get even the job I'm in). Due to my low salary, there may be the occasional year when I can't pay in anything, and I don't want a pension where I would incur any kind of penalties for this.
I don't want to have to do any manging of investments as I am clueless about things like that, although I'm trying to improve my knowledge.
I am definitely going to see a financial advisor before opening the pension, but was wondering if anyone in this forum had any recommendations? Thanks in advance.

That is a regulated activity and the board is not authorised to do that.I'm 39 and hoping to open a stakeholder pension, as low risk as possible.
What is your definition of low risk?I am definitely going to see a financial advisor before opening the pension, but was wondering if anyone in this forum had any recommendations?
Don't use an FA. It needs to be an IFA. Although if your contribution is going to be low, it may not be worth it from a cost point of view.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -
Does your employer not provide a pension?

If you find that in view of the small contributions, using the services of an IFA is not cost effective, you might start here http://www.adviceguide.org.uk/england/debt_e/debt_pensions_e/debt_starting_a_pension_e.htm
