Update on receipt: Oh dear I suppose I’d better report the bad as well as the good….
The earrings are a big disappointment. The stud earrings are much smaller than I had imagined – no size stated on the website. And they do not sparkle much. They stick out so the sides would also be visible, not just the crystal front. I would not wear them. Some poor unfortunate is going to get them as a present! Lovely gift presentation.

  • Hi, have posted code onto the voucher thread which gives 50% off everything on the site, including sale items. It's a special black friday deal but has already started.

  • Does it say anywhere what metal these are made from? When it says silver does it mean silver coloured, silver plated or actual silver? There's some pretty ones I would like to get for someone else, but I know they get sore ears from things that are not silver or gold.
So so SO tired of being ripped off, and mislead
    Hope sharing saves some pain.
  • I just found the code on the home page. THanks OP - I've ordered loads from MW before and pretty things for stocking fillers. Really nice packaging too.

Money saving kitten, I don't think it's gold and silver though (just coloured I think). Maybe try a bracelet instead - some for only £3.

If it doesn't mention sterling silver I would avoid. Usually if it is sterling silver or 9ct gold it is highlighted all over the listing and doesn't mention anything if it's not. Amazon are particularly bad for this in their listings.

I just rang up and checked. Some of the much more expensive crystal £131 ones are silver and gold plated, but none of the ones in the sale are. They tell me they are hypoallergenic and nickle free though. I suppose it was a bit much to hope that for the price anyway.

I was curious about rings too, but they don't go small enough, smallest is size M. My friend isn't a bracelet wearer, so it looks like I am out of luck! Never mind, some lovely things there if you can wear them.
