Excercise at home

Very good suggestions coming through! Thanks again.
I would much prefer to go to a gym, actually, but I can't afford the nearest one to me. I can (barely) afford the council gym, but I've joined a couple of times in the past and have always stopped going after a few weeks/months because the location isn't very convenient. Maybe I'll see if I can get a friend to join a class with me to give me a bit of motivation!
I love all these ideas because I tend to get bored relatively easily. I actually like exercising (well, mostly) but I hate anything that's repetetive, so if I have lots of options I can change around and do what appeals on the day rather than slogging through the same thing every day.0 -
Oh, and I am looking after my diet too. I hate the idea of exercising just to get rid of 'sinful' eating! Overall, though, I'm more concerned with my activity levels and overall fitness than my weight (although of course I realise the two are linked).0

Meant to say, the Lorraine Kelly videos are a complete work out, including using light hand weights. (or tins of beans!) I also used light weights on my ankles after a couple of weeks for even more toning.
I have tried virtually all of the other 'faddy' fitness videos...(borrow them from library!) , and honestly, most of the routines are so difficult to follow or designed for people that are already fit.
These are so easy to follow!0 -
As Justie has said dont but equipment unless you know youll use it, I find getting motivated at home really difficult, try asking some friends if any of them would be interested working out with you, then each can but different things and you can share and motivate each other at the same time.0
