I want to be Mortgage free by 2025, but haven't a clue how to go about it, even after reading these posts.
Anyone, point me in the right direction?

Hello there, and good luck with your mortgage free journey! You might be best to post some details to help get some advice - outstanding mortgage amount, mortgage rate, and income. A full Statement of Affairs (there is a link on here somewhere) posted here will help others suggest areas for improvement. Dig out your mortgage paperwork to see how to overpay (OP) and any OP limits. Last but not least, raid the diaries on this board and consider keeping your own!Mortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89
OPs 2011-2016 = £45K 2017 OPs = £9250.200 -
You can either overpay your mortgage or build up savings in a higher interest account until you have enough to clear your mortgage.
I am finding the extra money by using all of the money saving tips on this site and by a regular standing order of £150 each month.
Hth!Slow progress is better than no progress.
