I use the dove one at the mo, just on my pasty legs :rotfl: I put it on one night, then 'try' and wash it off the next, then apply some more and this way means it gets rid of the orangy/too much bits before you put another lot on. Works quite well until I get into bed with OH and he wonders why only the bottom of my legs are tanned, PMSL.

Would never do the face one - at least you can wear trousers!
  • Darn those naturally brown models on these holiday sun cream adverts!!

I'm sure NONE of us end up looking as brown and healthy as them!!

I resort to using sunbeds sparingly which is terrible I know but I'm rubbish at fake tan and believe me I've tried and tried!!!

Sophie Ellis Bexter and Gwen Stefani are as white as ghost, maybe thats the stance I'm gonna have to take!

At least when I'm 50 I won't have loads of wrinkles from the sun I guess!

I've used both the Dove and the Johnsons ones, get the odd orangey patch, but generally have had quite good results with them (and I'm VERY pale). When I started using them, there were no face ones available, so I used them on my face too, with no adverse effects (I rub it in all over, then wash my hands, then with clean hands give my hairline and eyebrows another rub, so you don't get any obvious lines). Haven't dared use them whilst being pregnant though, because they smell slightly chemically, and don't want babes to have a dose of anything dodgy!
