I am not happy - Kensington mortgage wrote to me saying the original 'redemtion administration fee' of £100 was increased to £145 due to:-
'Staff processing costs, such as annual salary increases and recruitment selection.
Increased charges made by our third party administrator.
Increased monitoring of our third party administrator in accordance with regulatory obligations.
Recovery of general overheads.'
They said this letter is their final response and if I am unhappy with the above to complain to FOS.
Do you think I should persue? If so what should I write (bit thick in that department), any help would be welcome. :T

you could write one more letter along the lines of,
"I am not happy with your response and feel that the increase in redemption fee is not justified. If I do not hear from you by XX I will have no hesitation in complaining to the FOS."
Bottom line is that you counld only expect the difference between the fees back (£45). They may just write you a cheque to prevent an FOS investigation which would cost them. Or they may ignore you.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I volunteer to help get your forum questions answered and keep the forum running smoothly.
