Credit forms - answering honestly?

Hi
Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere (although i cant see it!)
Tomorrow marks the 6 year "anniversary" since our BR discharge, therefore it will disappear from our credit files.
I have taken the appropriate steps to ensure our credit files will be clean and we are well on the way to getting our target deposit amount to get back on the housing ladder, so, my question is...
..even though there will be no trace of the BR on our credit files, if a mortgage application form asks "have we ever been bankrupt", do we need to answer this honestly or would it be fraudulent if we said no?
Thanks

Answers. Yes and yes. Of course you must be honest."Our prime purpose in this life is to help others. And if you can't help them, at least don't hurt them." Dalai Lama0 -
They will find out anyway before completion.
It would be a big let down in the end when you think your home and dry.
There are some lenders who will consider ex bankrupt.0 -
How much deposit do you have by the way?

Technically may well be application fraud, yes.

Apparently all solicitors will do a bankruptcy search.
It will come out in the end.
If you don't declare it best case is your application will be refused later down the line . I personally would not waste my own time and lie .0 -
