Emporio Armani Watches Advice Needed PLEASE??

Hope this is the right place to post.

I'm looking at buying my partner an Emporio Armani watch for his birthday (December). I've found lots of sites which are not authorised sellers of Armani watches, but as a result, sell them at a lower price.

Since speaking to some of them, I've established that as an unauthorised seller, I would be getting their warranty instead of the manufacturers warranty. They've told me that this means in the event of using the warranty, I would merely send the watch to them for repair/replacement instead of the manufacturer.

I'm just not sure whether this is something that should concern me or not?

Has anyone had any experience with these unauthorised sellers? Or is anyone aware of any authorised sellers which sell at a reduced rate?

  • I personally would be concerned as to whether you would get a genuine watch from unauthorised sellers.

    That's probably why they can't be sent back to Armani!
  • I had planned on taking it into an official seller to get it checked if I do place an order, as I heard that's what others have done.

    So I feel ok about getting the genuinity of the watch checked, (I think), it's the warranty that I wanted to find out if anyone knew about
  • I would try Beaverbrooks as a compromise; they sometimes sell pre-owned watches and often seem to have discounted EA watches (both new and pre-owned). I got mine there and am really happy with it.

    Be warned, though, I replaced the battery in mine the other day and it cost me £25!

    Thank you. I did have a look at them, but for the watch I'm after, they are actually slightly more expensive than other authorised sellers. Sonot the best pick for me :(

    And thank you for the heads-up about the battery cost, will check that out :)
  • I purchased an Armani watch from goldsmiths in 2007, its still going strong.
    if you can access any clubcard vouchers from family or friends, use the clubcard rewards as a £10 clubcard voucher is currently worth £40 in goldsmiths vouchers. Hth

    What's the difference in price between the unauthorised and authorised dealer? I think if it is for the sake of £10-30 I'd go with an authorised dealer every time. I'd do this simply because;
    a) you have recourse if anything happens to it;
    b) you know its not fake if its from an authorised dealer and
    c) it gives you sound peace of mind if anything does go wrong with it.

    Just out of interest, which Armani watch is it, the Ceramica?

    Yes, i agree with you!!:T
    But, how to tell the site whether are authorised sellers of Armani watches or not?
    Such as the new armani watch seller i find armaniwatchesukshops.uk.com , So cheaper, Is it authorised or reliable??
  • If the unauthorised price is low enough, go for it. Otherwise run a mile.
