How to mend a small hole?

I wasn't sure where else to put this
I have a thin black cardigan with long sleeves - I bought it on ebay and it has no labels so I'm not sure what the material it is but I think it's a jersey sort, quite stretchy. I've just noticed a very small hole in one sleeve - it's only maybe a couple of millimeters across, but with this type of fabric it could easily catch on something and turn into a bigger hole.
How could I go about fixing this? I can just about sew a button onto a coat but that's the extent of my skills!

Thread a needle with some black thread, double it back on itself so you're going to pull two thicknesses through the fabric at the same time. Working on the inside of the garment, carefully thread the needle in and out around the 'back' of the hole, making sure you don't pull all the thread through (leave a tail of thread sticking out the garment). Use several small stiches, go all the way around the hole until you're back where you started, pull the thread tight which should close the hole, knot both ends of the double threads together by the hole several times and trim.Make £2026 in 2026
