Can you get a mortgage with satisfied defaults

Hi

can anyone tell me if you can get a mortgage with defaults that have been satisfied on your credit file please.

    Further to your other posts, it would assume this was the reason why your other broker could not get the mortgage and not the amount of searches on file...

    Should be achievable although tough given income/age...

  • I have got a new broker now after the other one told me I would def get one then after waiting 6 months said I couldnt. My file is showing everything as satisfied and this new broker says my age isnt a problem as people can get mortgages up until age of 69 these days. The other broker would only go up to age 64. I was just wondering if a default on your credit record had any affect even though they had been shown as satisifed.

    69 was what we said on the other thread, but the reason for decline is/was the defaults.

    Most high street lenders will throw it out on the credit score.

    You need the Experian, Equifax and Call Credit files. Give them to your broker and hope they know what they are doing...

    Your solution is unlikely to be a highstreet bank with satisfied defaults.

    Being satisfied makes you elligible, but it does not make the issues go away.

  • My broker said as long as they are showing as satisfied there shouldnt be a problem so fingers crossed x
  • Oh and yes my broker has my credit files etc.
