Hi all,
I need a little guidance before I proceed, I got into a bit of bother 5 years ago due to a relationship breakdown and defaulted on 1 loan with Welcome finance, all has gone well since and I owe 1 more payment of £164 due in December.
I received an email form equifax stating Welcome finance have made changes to my credit file and looked into it, at my previous address were I defaulted they have deleted the account and then reopened it to my new address and the default is now showing at the top of my credit report.
Does anyone know why they have done this or if they can as it looks a little fishy to me.
Thanks for any advise.

Welcome are a bit weird. I defaulted on an account years ago when the bank cancelled my DD, but I had a bad time and forgot to reinstate it.
I had a 6mth default showing, now it shows as "up-to-date".
Madness. Good luck!
