Tea Bags vs. Loose tea leaves

I need to get an infuser! I have both teabags in various kinds and loose leaves in other various kinds. At the minute if I decide I want one of the loose leaf teas I just make a big pot and sit having cup after cup of tea all afternoon. I like it, but it's a !!!!!! scooping the leaves out of the pot afterwards. If I had an infuser I could just make myself one cup and would use my leaves more often. I do however lurve my spotty teapot too.0

Hi guys.
I stopped smoking and instead find myself getting addicted to a really good cup of tea.... well its gotta to be better for me!
I've bought a nice tea pot with a strainer and i'm working my way through different loose teas. I'm enjoying the Waitrose everyday stuff at the moment and Yorkshire Gold is good too but is there one that is a bit special that I can buy to treat myself? It will still be cheaper than 20 cigarettes!
I don't go for anything fancy, just plain old black tea. Mind you I have to cut down on my two heaped spoons of sugar... got a telling off from the dentist today!0 -
I have heard Adiagio are pretty good, also just came across these guys. Website looks nice, going to give them a try, has anyone heard of them, they seem new?

Where does everybody buy their loose leaf tea? I do miss a real old fashioned tea caddy full of tea...0

We like Typhoo leaf tea but it seems to quite hard to find these days. Morrisons sometimes have it but we don't have a Morrisons nearby.
Otherwise we use Yorkshire tea-the gold one-from Tesco.0 -

I buy loose-leaf tea from a specialist tea and coffee shop in Oxford's covered market. Ludicrously expensive, but it's a lovely special treat every now and again. I think they do mail order too : http://www.cardewoxford.co.uk/0 -

Whittards of Chelsea they have a website

I can actually taste the paper in tea bags and there is a
Film on the top of the teacup”Pour yourself a drink, (tea for me now)
Put on some lipstick
and pull yourself together”

Grew up with loose tea. I could not wait to be old enough to buy my own tea. I have never looked back since sticking with the T-bag and never would.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A
