Kindle Fire or Nexus 7?

Hi,
I am looking for opinions on the Kindle Fire versus Nexus 7.
I would like to purchase one of them, but am unsure which. At the moment, I am leaning towards the Nexus 7, unless I can get a great Kindle Fire deal on Friday in Amazon's Black Friday deal (wishful thinking!).
Thanks

Bump.I would like to know the answer to this. I'm looking to buy one for my 9 year old for xmas but can't decide between the two. I know that the kindle is heavily marketed and she would be more aware of this, but I'm concerned about the number of apps available. I don't want to spend so much and then regret it!0

Nexus 7.
Full Google play store, plenty of free apps and games to download.
Kindle has a limited App store and also has advertising built in unless you pay extra to 'opt out'.
I have just bought the Nexus and love it, as does my 6 year old nephew - easy to use and the game options are great.0 -
They had the Fire HD for £99. Did you get that? Nexus 7 gets my vote. You can do loads of things on it, the Fire is quite restricted compared to it, IMO.Living off £450 per month is easy...! If you aren't single! :j0

Nexus 7 all the way for me.
The kindle app on it is excellent plus you have all the additional apps via google play and it's a great bit of kit.
Had mine for around 3-4 months now and I love it. Plus as I carry a decent size handbag and I can tether it to my phone to use the 3g signal it's always with me!Everyone has a dark side... apparently mine is called Harold?!? :huh:0 -
