Hi,
Can anyone recommend a good beautician that does very good eyebrow shapes pls?
Need mine done, but too scared to go to just anyone, was gonna try estee lauder at debenhams, but the girl looks quite intimidating.
TIA

    Hi

I do not live in scotland so cant give you any specific recommendations...

    but

Have u ever considered threading instead of waxing. Threading gets a much better shape, no irritation and costs about £3. Best thing to do is ask around for an indian lady to do it as they are the cheapest.

    thanks iambroke,
i worry that with threading, the shape won't be as nice as an "actual shape",
    but thanks anyway.

    Hi
I got mine done at estee lauder at jenners in Edinburgh. it cost £15 but that was redeamable against anything you purchase so basically buy a lipstick and its free :). However I have had it done twice, the first time was excellent and with a bit of tidying up myself it lasted nearly 3 months before i went back. The second time the girl was no where near as good and they looked messy after 1 month. The first girl who did my eyebrows had lovely brows herself while the second didn't so in future I will be looking more closely at who ever I make the appointment with ;)

what is threading may i ask.

I had an awful experience with the first time I had my brows waxed. I couldnt believe how bad they were.

then I found a great girl who did them brilliantly but now shes moved and I have to do them myself. Trouble is I cant see them with my glasses on and cant see a thing without them lol. feel like dennis healy atm

    lol

    Hiya pudding,
Threading is when someone takes a bit of thread between her teeth and her hands, and moves it about the area u need done, hope i explained that right.

Oh ayeshasi I think the op is in Glasgow. But I'd be interested (is it the threading? rather than tweezers) I've fancied threading for a while does it hurt? Thanks V

In Dundee on Dens rd theres a parlour called Elegance, the woman there is really good. It is threading and waxing she does, i always go for threading, much better for skin. Try it out and leme know how u get on
