Powerpoint won't play movie - help!

Just on the offchance that someone on here knows how to fix this.

Have created a PPt presentation (Office 2003).

Have inserted film. Film refuses to play the visual though it plays the sound.

Grr.

Have converted the film to .avi and .mov and .asf and no matter which version I insert it just won't play. Any ideas?

Is it definily embeded in and not just dragged across?

Also is the powerpoint updated to use new codecs etc

Hiya! Thank you for replying!

I inserted it properly insert-movie- etc.

What are codecs?

I just clicked on help/updates and it says it "cannot install updates because of restrictions on this computer" and that I must "contact the system administrator". This is my home PC!

Windows media player and various other media players require the correct codecs to play the file.

Login to your pc as administrator and run the updates
