As someone who has very slowly done the marathon a couple of times (and I do mean very slowly), I have only got one thing to say.....

    enjoy!

Oh, and good luck I suppose, but you won't need that - you will be too busy soaking up the atmosphere........

    ..........and the sweat!

Good luck, i have a friend thats done it and loved it. If you have friends or family watching i'm told that there is a brilliant spot on the Isle of dogs called cold harbour (or mud shoot ?) its near a pub and food and a band.

The pub is called the City Pride (or it used to be!). Nearest station is probably South Quay (as Heron Quays is still shut?....) get off the DLR and turn right coming out of the station onto Marsh Wall, past the hotel on your right and the City Pride is at the end of the street.

You get to see the runners twice - they got down Marsh Wall and then come back up Westferry Road.

It's a really good day - I used to live on the IoD and the whole day is a party there! It also used to be worth walking over to the Queen of the Isle pub (at the other end of Marsh Wall) as they always had good bands, especially later inthe day when the fun runners are going through....

Good luck with the run, wish I was there to cheer you on!

    Puss
