Some Danske Bank (previously Northern Bank) ATMs do - I don't know if they all do.

It also depends if their stock is depleted or not.

In England I've drawn out multiples of £5 from a hole-in-the-wall outside a Tesco Express store.

I believe it is a Royal Bank of Scotland atm.

Where I am my local Yorkshire Bank's hole in the wall gives out £5 notes.
  • Northern/Danske at Donegall Square West ATM (on left) gives £5 BoE notes usually.
  • Last ATM I went to wouldn't even give me £10 notes, never mind fivers. £20 was the lowest they had.

Our local college ATM gives £5.

Also the local shop lets you have cashback (as long as min spend too).

Our big supermarket will let you pay by card for less than £5, which is handy when times are desperate.

Plus you can withdraw precise amounts of cash at the counter of the local bank.

Look for an ATM on a university campus. Students like fivers.

    No, I'm not joking.

Not if you want to withdraw £5 at the Nationwide you can't £100 minimum over the counter last time I looked.
I started with nothing and I am proud to say I still have most of it left.
