Paid by former employer...

Hello,

Wonder if anyone can help me. I left my old job on the 28th of last month to start a new role, but having checked today I notice that they have paid me in full for this month! Naturally I'll be calling them to try and sort it out, but I have a couple of questions:

Firstly, will this affect my tax status? (P60, code etc)

Secondly, can the former employer take it back themselves, or do I have to arrange repayment?

Thanks in advance. :)

It is unlikely they can now recall the payment so you will have to send them a cheque.

Just a thought, are you sure you were paid everything you were owed last month? What about outstanding holidays etc?

Obviously they have a right to any accidental overpayment back but if they owe you anything at all you now have the upper hand!
