Using your own mug/tub/etc in shops...

Hello!! I know that if you bring your own mug into Starbucks you get a wee discount.

Are there any other shops around that do a similar thing? Heard that an ice-cream shop in Glasgow used to do it....

Anywhere else?

I can remember as a child you could take a dish to the van and get twice the normal amount of icecream for the same price as if you had bought a cone, long time ago though :sad:

it is sad..u know..last year..the ice cream van came round...i had a 99 cone but he didnt put a flake in it. i asked for 1...he said..thats an extra 50p!!!

ok..well i know that cafe nero give u a stamp card thing..everytime u buy a coffee they stamp the card and after a few stamps you get a free coffee...thats all i know really

How about PYO fruit, take your own container, that usually provides a good saving on buying at the supermarket. Good oppurtunities for taste testing as well, and a good day out.
Refill ecover/bio D cleaning stuff at health food shops, cheaper than buying new containers.
