I wanna send a parcel but want it held at delivery office

I need to send a parcel for next day delivery but need it to be held at the post office or delivery office as the recipient will be out at work at the time it is likely to be delivered. It would be easy for him to collect from either a post office or delivery office. Can this be done?

If it has to be signed for and the postman finds nobody is in, he will take it back to the delivery office for collection at a later time.0

They should leave a card "could not deliver etc, pls collect at delivery office" showing the address & tel # of the delivery office on it. They're usually listed in the phonebook.0

I would write on it that info or alternatively if there is a safe place to leave it add that on the package.0
