National homeowners day

I was thinking today wouldn't it be great if there was a national homeowners day. Neiughbours could set up stalls, bake cakes, kids sell lemonaide, cut our grass and bring people together. Homeowners are the hard working people who carry the country on its back. Home owners should be held in high regard by all mankind. I have a little poem I'd like to share with everyone. It's called "the homeowner"
Out in the garden cutting the lawn
Inside the kitchen cooking till dawn
Washing your car on the drive
House prices will never take a dive

Cooking till dawn?
It's a nice idea. Perhaps it could be a public holiday but only for homeowners. In a similar spirit we have a public holiday in Aus for bankers only (we actually do).
You could employ renters to work as caterers for your parties without having to pay double time.
Would there be hip thrusting or fist pumping? I hope so.0 -
Being a homeowner sounds like a lot of work.0

How about the houseowners like me who are mortgage free and would love to see house prices fall so others get the same opportunites that I did?
Houses are very overpriced, including mine.0 -

I would say taxpayers "carry the country on their backs". I am not sure where owning one or more properties makes a difference? I guess wages come into it, if you earn an average wage of say £40k and own a house together with your bank, do you contribute more than someone who earns £150k and rents? If so, why? Do you feel that co-owning a property with a bank gives you an identity?
Just for the record, I should say that I have owned properties in the past - none at present. I don't feel any different though....

I thought he/she was parodying some of the more intellectually challenged posters on here (they've even added the illiteracy for comic effect - genius!).
In keeping with the spirit of the thread though, yes think I'll throw my own street party too (although strictly speaking I'm not a home 'owner' as I have a mortgage - if anyone's in any doubt about the definition, try not paying your mortgage for a while and see what happens to your home 'owner' status).
Perhaps I'll even invite Mervyn King as guest of honour - after all, he's fvcked most of us with inflation - and in particular shafted savers and pensioners - all in order that a few idiots who bought homes they couldn't really afford can stay in them and other 'owners' like me can feel good about our paper wealth...0
