From what you said earlier about the lifting/employer not wanting her back on Monday I would say that sickness lasted from Saturday to Monday so employer would be entitled to ask for a fit note for Monday. This is certainly long enough for SSP to be considered so assuming that the average earnings were high enough she would then have to find out what her qualifying days are and from that (assuming that the QDs were OK see my last post) at best she would get two days SSP if she supplied a fit note for Monday.
As has been said maybe not worth rocking the boat.0
