Anyone experienced problems with the EPB not releasing immediately?
VW say there is no known history of such fault and are less than helpful.

My Car has one of these too, I'll never buy a car with one again, battery goes flat on any car you can find a wee hill and jump start the car;) Not with a bloody electronic handbrake you cant
VW, much like any car maker will deny any fault until Watchdog flag it up to them and give them bad PR Drop an email to auntie Ann and see if anyone else has complained.I am trying, honest;) very trying according to my dear OH:rotfl:0 -

I have the same issue intermittently with a 2011 Audi A6, randomly won't release automatically when moving off, releases if you hit button. No fault codes showing and Belfast Audi have never cured it.0

Had exactly this problem with a 2005 Passat, was a real pain that took a fair bit before it was finally fixed through replacement. I scoured the web but finally discovered this was a bit of an ongoing problem with Passats.
Don't have the car any more!0 -
I was under the impression this was a 2005/06 problem... May rethink buying one! Know of two people with major electrical problems with 05 (new shape) models. Did not get help from main dealership as cars were deemed 'too old'.0

Assuming its not a problem related only to locally supplied Passats, you might be best posting this over on the Motoring forum - better chance of finding others who have similar problems nationally?0 -
I agree. But no harm in posting on this forum as well. Someone may know of a local garage to fix it?0
