It's soooooo cold here this morning, really frosty.

I'm thinking of putting up a tree this week. Will probably be on wednesday. Where does everybody get their trees from? Are they real or fake? We usually have fake, but I'm hoping to get a real one this year.

Good morning everyone, frosty start here too, no snow this morning though.

Off to see DS1 today, we'll go into the city, so he can buy one of my xmas presents for him. Students get a discount at Krispy Kreme, and he can get a discount on a years card. Think last year, it was £10, less discount, and it gave him a choice of any of their doughnuts, 12 times a year Loved it as a special treat, and very much cheaper than just buying them! He could claim up to 3 of the 12 doughnuts at any one time, so could share with his mates too, if he wanted to.

Fake trees for us, we put them up yesterday. With kids creating enough mess so we think this is best, though I appreciate you can get no- needle drop trees.

Trees seem to have appeared in Wilkinsons, nurseries and by the roadside - be careful to ask how long it will last as some will be lucky to last until mid-December never mind over Christmas.
I understand that you can get some in planters which you can then put out in the garden - not sure but I think you can reuse then in future (though if it keep growing you may need a bigger house in future years )
