Urgent Appeal by the Belfast Rape Crisis and Sexual Abuse Centre: ! Like many local charities who no longer receive Government funding the Belfast Rape Crisis and Sexual Abuse Centre are struggling to remain in operation. With the latest figures showing that the PSNI are dealing with 10 reported rapes every week, the services provided by the centre are needed more than ever before. "The Charity Shop" was opened to raise funds for the centre but this past year has been a real struggle to even raise enough money to pay the rent and utility bills on both the centre and the shop.! We are therefore issuing an urgent appeal to the public for adults and childrens clothing and shoes, handbags, books, sheets, towels, curtains, CDs, DVDs, small items of furniture, pots and pans, bikes and prams, Christmas decs etc, to sell in the charity shop!
All donated goods can be left in at:
    "The Charity Shop"
    130-132 Albertbridge Road
    (Next door to Sure Start)
    Belfast
    BT5 4GS
(Open Monday to Saturday from 10am to 4pm)
NB: Due to Health and Safety Regulations we are unable to accept, used pillows and duvets or any electrical items.
    Thank you very much.

I have left in non perishable foods also, as the position they are in ATM, they will take anything

  • Morning

    Cold here but sunny.
On the way home from school yesterday the kids wombled a cat with a broken leg. Phone call report to rspca and then I took it to the local vets. The vets transfered it to hospital. Rspca may have a report of it as lost. I'm going to phone the vets later and see how it is.
I won't be going shopping today as I'm too busy being Mum's taxi.
I wanted to put the tree up tonight and asked the kids if they wanted to help, I was told no because I won't let them put the decorations on where they want or use the coloured ones. Compromise they can have a tree decorated how they want in their rooms and I can have my carefully decorated one downstairs:D

Hugs to all who need them. Take care on the icey roads.
Hope everyone has a great day.

    This made me :D....

    Shampoo Warning

I don't know WHY I didn't figure this out sooner!

I use shampoo in the shower.

When I wash my hair, the shampoo runs down my whole body, and

printed very clearly on the shampoo label is this warning:

    "FOR EXTRA VOLUME AND BODY."

No wonder I have been gaining weight!

Well! I have gotten rid of that shampoo and

I am going to start showering with Fairy Liquid instead.

    Its label reads,

"DISSOLVES FAT THAT IS OTHERWISE DIFFICULT TO REMOVE."

Problem solved! If I don't answer the phone, I'll be in the shower!
