p.s. thanks for the help with the Tesco magazine this morning - managed to pick up 4 in Pz store - loads!!
It is an absolute nightmare trying to find cheap insurance. We insured DD1 with OH as main driver and her as named as that was the cheapest option and she could not take her car to uni anyway so it was left here for us to use most of the time anyway. So all legit.
DD2 on the otherhand desperately wants her car at uni for placements but that is just unaffordable at the moment and that is even before the new rules for female insurance starts on december 21st. £1500 wanted to insure it up there so she is going to have to leave it at home too although have managed to find cheap (£700) insurance with her as main driver and we will have to re-think next academic year when she will definitely need a car up there.
It is just getting ridiculous, youngsters just do not stand a chance of getting on the road. And by the sounds of reading other forums others are finding it even more difficult with quotes of £4000 and over. I even read some being refused cover in around Manchester. :eek:0 -
