Hi Ellie. It's beautiful up your neck of the woods. I love going to the Causeway and Stroke City when I get the chance.

Well done on the bag tweets. Nice prize:)

Nice to see you posting Tinyshoes. Sorry to hear about your mum:( and all the stress over the car. My son is 17 in January and wants to start learning to drive straight away.....I'm dreading it and all the expense that goes with it

Hi fairclaire, thankyou. Good to see you posting too. Hope your OH is getting along ok. :)

It is an absolute nightmare trying to find cheap insurance. We insured DD1 with OH as main driver and her as named as that was the cheapest option and she could not take her car to uni anyway so it was left here for us to use most of the time anyway. So all legit.

DD2 on the otherhand desperately wants her car at uni for placements but that is just unaffordable at the moment and that is even before the new rules for female insurance starts on december 21st. £1500 wanted to insure it up there so she is going to have to leave it at home too although have managed to find cheap (£700) insurance with her as main driver and we will have to re-think next academic year when she will definitely need a car up there.

It is just getting ridiculous, youngsters just do not stand a chance of getting on the road. And by the sounds of reading other forums others are finding it even more difficult with quotes of £4000 and over. I even read some being refused cover in around Manchester.

Just a quick post to say that I am a complete newbie here, and have been amazed at all the very inventive money saving ideas I've seen in the short time I've been reading. Look forward to learning from the masters and mistresses of savvy shopping :D

PS I'm actually from just outside Belfast, but there was no point in mentioning the place as you would never have heard of it :p

Hi, welcome and anywhere near Whitehead?

  • So, anyone got any working glitches comparing A to T or S to share with us poor unfortunates in NI who don't have a Waitrose?

The Vinnies Trellis isn't working as a trigger today comparing to S, so don't go there. Anyone got a list of working triggers comparing to S?

Go on. You know you want to...

Hi.. Not near Whitehead, nearer Lisburn. I know Carrick well though, and Islandmagee a bit.
