Dear Raven,
I did not mean to offend...and I know u are not offended as you know I mean well, u said it, thank you for understanding. But just so u know and anyone whom is even slightly offended by my post for Lobby, I wanted to explain something and that is - I would say the exact same to any man who's wife /g'friend /partner was doing so to him...in fact this got me into trouble with my friend¬!
I like to be fair and straight down the middle, I try and so when my friend's fiancae mentioned she (my very good friend since junior school) had been spending money outa his wages on her parents every month...without fail! I said in front of both of them, 'well that's ridiculous, **** (friends name) u wouldn't like it if he spent £150 from your pay on his mum right?' to which she said no, but somehow this friend of mine felt because he was the 'bloke' the 'man' she had some sort of right to spend his hard earned money on herself and her family members, without asking him or with his consent
Soon after i received a very angry call from my friend, she told me how they had now got a 'bills' bank account together and rest of the money was now separated, she was annoyed yet knows me very well and we did end the call by telling each other we did luv's each other for always as we are bff's, so all is good, still, 4 yrs on! However in that call, she said as much as she was unhappy with what I'd said in front of him, she knew I would stick up for her, in just the same way, with just as much passion, should he ever do so to her, plus she let a little confession out...she wouldn't allow him to do this to her ever anyway! At which point we both started laughing, as she knew what she was doing....something I never would. If its morally incorrect I won't do it, she knows that....but lol, she knew she was taking him for a bit of a ride...not fair. so I'm glad he stepped in and stopped being taken advantage of, just like Looby needs to do, stop him from taking advantage of her in this case.
Looby...I totally understand what u are saying, if majority wages are his he may feel he can spend it, still not the case as far as I'm concerned, you worked for 8yrs before having children together and hence have contributed for a long time, any money now probs should be spent on u, him and your kids...you having to spend it before he does, I see the sense in that but annoyed for u that you have to do so! Silly o/h u have, does he not know how much kids cost? My parents are going through the pleasures of my younger sibligs now at Uni, oh don't even ask:) Remind your o/h, saving every penny he can now might just be an idea!
Anyway, before my post gets any longer and more boring, let me say...Hello all xx
Can anyone confirm Lobs and ff's are a goer today? heres hoping tomorrow it will still be going...me fancies me som'a them, as I need to replace them empty boxes I have sitting in the recycling bin....I keep eating them, help!:eek:FunkyFeet:eek:Elite 5:2 #190 -
