Teacher Hamper?

I'm not a teacher, but I am a Brown Owl. We don't receive many presents, but we do appreciate those that are given. I'm a parent myself, and I put a lot of thought into teacher gifts. Maybe because of this, plus the fact that we only receive one or two, makes us appreciate them more.
A 'thank you' is always welcome, at any time of the year. We are fortunate that we do have a small number of children and parents who thank us.
So whilst presents are by no means necessary, when someone buys us something or makes us something, we are grateful that they have thought about us at all. Christmas is an expensive time anyway, so when someone spends even a small amount on us, we enjoy the gifts that we receive. Home made gingerbread sounds lovely..........:):)0 -
I wouldn't waste your time and money as going by other threads on here homemade biscuits are just binned.
Teachers might be annoyed about the threads on here and all the gifts they get but dont want but Im annoyed at how selfish and ungrateful the teachers are.
My 6 year old gets excited about giving her teachers a gift and puts her whloe heart into it and the thought its thrown / given away makes me feel sad for her. I Will be saving my money in future just don't know what excuse I will tell her yet.
Teachers are NOT selfish and ungrateful! I think there has been about one teacher on here who has made a comment like that. The rest of us have said we are very grateful for anything we get, appreciate everything, but have advised that the best thing (and it's very MSE!) is a hand made card from the child. Please don't tar us all with the same brush....I think there has only been one person making an ungrateful comment!0 -
