Mysupermarket - not so moneysaving?

Thinking about doing shopping online, I thought I'd try out Mysupermarket and use the companion tool.
I've entered in some goods that I normally buy and know the price of in Tesco and Asda. When I've entered them from Tesco, it's telling me that what I have is the cheapest, yet I know very well that they are cheaper in Asda (unless they have changed the price since I went in this morning).
In all, I would have spent over ten quid more than I would do on my normal shop for exactly the same things (and that's not even including delivery).
Am I missing something - I thought this was supposed to save money, not cost more?

hmm odd. Click on a product you know the price of in ASDA and see what mysupermarket is telling you the price at Tesco and price at ASDA are? Sometimes I find mysupermarket can be slower to update itself, though usually that's showing special offers which are no longer in existence.0

I think the problem comes from mysupermarket comparing it to not the exact product just the closest match. So for example i want to buy t's 750g potatoes, but's a's only have 1kg bags- my supermarket then assumes that you would buy that instead.
So needs to be exact same product and weight which they don't always have.0
