Our mortgage is fixed rate with Northern rock that finishes in May 2005. When is the best time i.e. how far in advance for when we should be looking for a better deal when that will revert to N/rocks standard rate.

Normally advise to start looking around 6-8weeks before. However for a small fee N/rock will offer you any of there new business rates. Best at the moment (i think) is 4.99% fixed for approx 18 months. Hopefully will be lower by the time May comes round ::)independent mortgage/financial adviser martin@hendersonponsford.com0
