Its no longer the first to find wins

You've been asking for it...

Random Prize Drawer - That's right! ever since we started we've always had it set up so that the first person to find the hidden prize wins it - many favoured this, but many don't stand a chance of winning because some people start work early, or can't always get to a computer, etc.

This is why we are going to try Random Prize draw from tomorrow (Monday 18th).

How will it work?

The competition and clues will go out at the same times. EVERYONE who finds it between Monday morning and Saturday night will be entered into the random drawer at the end of the Comp on Saturday.

What does this mean?

It means everyone who enters and finds the prize on the websites has the same equal chance of winning. So those super human people who find it on Monday at 9am, have the same chance as someone who finds it mid week or even Saturday.

How will the random drawer be done?

Passed to third party; random.org to which all the names of the people who got it correct are added to a list which is then randomised by this third party service. Which ever name returns at the top of the list wins the prize that week. The draw list, data, date and time stamped is sent to IPM - So none of the random draw process is done by us. It's done and adjudicated via a worldwide trusted third party and the UK governing comliance. And don't worry your details will not be published only the winners name will be announced (and location if we get permission from the winner).

So we can't wait until next week. We expect a lot more people to take part as now you all have a chance!

Competition information and rules:

1. Each weekly competition is verified by the IPM (The Institute of Promotional Marketing), and the location of the hidden item is sent to them prior to it being uploaded. The weekly winner is also notified to them. This is to ensure that participants know that our competitions are legitimate and fair.

2. The competition will run for 6 days from Monday 8am until Saturday 10pm. Clues will be sent daily to help participants find it.

3. The weekly competitions are open to UK residents aged 16 and over only..

4. If you believe you have found the hidden item, do not share with anyone. This includes but is not limited to emails, forums, blogs, Money Saving Expert website. If you do your entry will be void and the competition may be forced closed with NO WINNER. Don't be a spoil sport!

5. You can email in with as many answers/guesses as you like within the competition time frame to: [EMAIL="info@abneyandtealclub.com"]info@abneyandtealclub.com[/EMAIL]. At the end of the week, the names of the people who emailed the correct answer will be put into a randomizer by random.org and who ever comes out on top of the list is the weeks winner - Random draw results are sent to IPM and only the winners name will be published for your privacy. We will also email everyone with the location of where the hidden item was on the same night.

6. The winner's prize will be posted out within 30 days unless it's a pre-order prize - in that case it would be dispatched within 7 days from the release date.

7. Use of software, downloading the websites as a whole or files, or any type of hacking or cheating* is strictly prohibited. People who break this rule will be banned and reported immediately without notice or warning. *We reserve the right to enforce our own definition of cheating - as cheaters always find new ways of ruining the fun.

8. We recommend using a full desktop browser such as Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Safari, and be sure to clear you cache before beginning a new competition. While every effort is made to make these competitions are mobile friendly (iPhone, iPad, Android etc), you stand a much better chance using a full desktop browser.

9. These competitions can be difficult. So we recommend that the grown-ups take part. However feel free to let the kids try find it. A pair of fresh eyes can be a big help. However, all email entries must be made by an adult (16 or over).

10. We are not affiliated with BBC, Cbeebies, or trademarks/copyright associated with the brand of the prize. We are just fans of these shows like you. We run these competitions because we love to do it and want to create a community.

Makes you wonder how many time these guys need to be caught out running a scam before people stop posting their competitions?

Another expensive prize offered by an unfunded site with "third parties" used in such a way that only the process, but not the actual winners, can be verified.

They have sent emails out which state the sooner you find it the more entries you get.

As you know this week we are not doing "First to find" we are doing a Random Draw at the end of the week so everyone who finds it has a chance.

There are benefits to finding it sooner though as you increase your chances off winning the draw. The sooner you find it - the more entries you get! So if you find it today your name is put in 5 times, if you find it Tuesday you get 4 entries, Wed 3, Thur 2, Fri 1 entry.

So get a move on and you will DRAMATICALLY improve your chances!

I give up with these. It hurts my eyes and I'm wasting time on this when I could be doing other comps

I've entered this into the URL: javascript:alert(document.lastModified) (Please note, some browsers automatically remove the 'javascript:' so you have to enter that in manually after pasting in the link - if that makes sense.) on each page and it tells me when each one was updated.

I don't normally do this by the way, I used my friends Google help

Now unless I'm doing this wrong or I have missed another link, these were updated during the LAST competition. Considering it's the 19th today and there last comp ended on the 17th, I'd expect an update between these dates......

Like I've said, no idea what I'm doing, so take with a pinch of salt. - unless someone can verify I'm doing it correctly lol

that is what they started off with, they NEVER uploaded early, they wanted you to boost their google ad pay-per-clicks and when they felt the competition can come to an end, they would upload a picture and suddenly within minutes someone (haha, like this was a real person anyway) found it...
