Halifax Credit Checks...

Halifax have given me a mortgage, but I have just looked on my experian and i can see that i have a negative point on there due to the number of credit checks they have done!

they did two that say first mortgage, and then a 3rd that quotes the amount that they have lent me...
cant i complain about the number of credit checks? or shall i just leave it?
Iv heard that the credit score doesnt mean a whole lot anyway?

This may affect you if you elected not to proceed with Halifax, but to apply to an alternate lender - having said that, any search would show that Halifax conducted all 3 searches in respect of 1 application- so it really shouldn't affect you too badly in any event (its where you have recent searches by mulitple firms, that the issues arise).

Further to which, as Halifax have agreed to lend, which I guess you have accepted - alls well in the world .... or have I missed something ?

    Hope this helps
