Hi, I have just had a problem with this showing at £3.99 on the site and then appearing in the basket at £8.99.
Rung HMV and they tried to say that they only had an allocated amount at £3.99 and that their terms and conditions state that you pay the price in the basket.
Their excuse for the price difference was that their allocation of DVDs at £3.99 had run out. When we pointed out that they made no reference to an allocation or terms and conditions they got their supervisor, who told them to sell it to us for £3.99. They took our card details over the phone.
I wanted to let everyone know. They only update their website 3 times a day and if you ring and complain whilst it still shows £3.99, they will sell it to you.

I've had the same problem and have got to say that it doesn't surprise me one bit, their website designer must only work every other bank holiday !!!!

Last year i order 2x dvd collection and both arrived looking as though they'd been bought at a car boot sale, definitely pre-owned and the phone call to get my money back cost me more than the amount i paid for the dvds....
After christmas i ordered two items for the xbox which then said they'd be in stock in 4-7 days, three months later i received an email saying they could no longer supply the item, marvellous !

My own personal opinion is :- Don't touch them with a bargepole !
