Your local auction house is the best bet - I got a solid mahogany dining table and 6 chairs for just a few pounds from mine. Much better than cheap 'modern' stuff!

Dark wood furniture is very cheap on Ebay - it seem to be out of fashion at the moment!

The one you are looking at is oak veneer (very beautiful but still only veneer). This one is solid oak - look around the site and you'll see they do similar chairs too :)

No association. I have a solid oak kitchen/dining table which I love, which I bought for £500 from the Ideal Home Exhibition, which is how I knew that solid oak stuff was around. In fact this one is very like mine, and has the extensions which I now regret not buying :(
Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).

Think I may have found the same table as in your link for £349.95. I bought my table and chairs from them nearly 2 years ago - and they are great (mind you I did get a bargain - they were £175 for table and six chairs, very similar to the one you have chosen).

They often have the same furniture as in catalogues just called something different.
