Just thought I'd look at Nintendo DS games at Empire Direct as I haven't bought a game for mine for a while. There are some pretty decent games around the £16.99 mark - buy 2 to take it to just over £30 and you'll save a tenner. It'll work out around £12 per game - not bad at all. "More Brain Training" out at the end of June caught my eye at £16.99.

You can buy one as a pressie for a friend and look a hero and then keep the other one for yourself!

You can get 2% through Quidco too - every little helps!

I had that idea too, but there doesn't appear to be a way to use Google checkout to pay in the game section.

I thought I would give Google Checkout a try, but it was a huge mistake! I can find now way of issuing a chargeback (the word CHARGEBACK does not even appear in the help sytem).

But the biggest problem is the lack of security! If, for any reason, your connection to the Google Checkout website is lost (failed internet connection, power failure, closing browser window) then, the next time you access the Checkout website it logs you in without entering your e-mail address and password!

Have Google closed the offer? I can't see anything now about it on any of the featured stores? I thought it was going to last until midnight?

From a merchant viewpoint, Google Checkout:

    a) Will not accept accommodation & travel booking services.

    b) Does not have a way of viewing Invoice (Payment requests) sent or of cancelling/expiring sent ones (eg one sent in error or where customer took a long time to pay while the item went out of stock).

    Paypal, rest easy for now
  • Unfortunately I used this recommendation and bought some ink cartridges from Inkredible.co.uk using Google Checkout. My money's been debited from my bank account but still no cartridges nearly 2 weeks later!
The Google order status says they've been shipped but when I asked the seller they said they weren't in stock after all.
I've since tried contacting them, and Google, several times but no response - and no phone number anywhere on the sites.

My advice to everyone - don't buy from this "company"! Cheap's not cheap if you don't get the product...

I signed up for this and the card I registered with hadn't been used prior to registering for months, I bought a few things with it from sites I have been dealing with for years without problem, today I find the card has been compromised and a transaction made that I have no knowledge of, could be coincidence but it seems strange to me that the last few transactions have been through google checkout on a very little used card
