From our experience, once you've built up a decent storecupboard & freezer stash, plus you[ve really got into the habit of making an extra portion for the freezer, you find your spend reduces, certainly on some months. I always start my meal plans from a starting position of what I've already got in the freezer & it's amazing how much there often is. For instance, our big shop this week was only for fresh fruit & veg, a few items for packed lunch sandwiches, milk, etc, as everything else we'd got already. I'd definitely say that using a freezer well saves serious money.2025's challenges: 1) To fill our 10 Savings Pots to their healthiest level ever

We freeze pizza dough too, let is rise then either freeze it as a ball or roll it out flat then shove in the freezer wrapped in clingfilm or foil.Gc 2013 +26 -5. -4 -7 -14 -15 -10.-8.20 +15p+30+5.80 Dec +9 GROCERY challenge 2014 Jan -2Feb -3 March -1.50 April +5.40 May +4.90 June -3.July 16.50/85

I know people suggest Asian supermarkets but I don't know what they stock, can I get brown rice or cous cous from these?
I read on here that people freeze flour to prevent bugs, do you leave it in the bag and put it in a tub in the freezer or does it need to go in something else.
