in Cutting tax
First job, needed to ask a couple of questions.
I have some saving with interest I don't pay tax on.
If I have a total income of less than £8,105 (personal allowance) this tax year I wont pay income tax on my wages or any tax on my interest, correct? Will the income tax come off my earnings then I will have to claim it back?
Is national insurance weekly? so it doesn't matter how much I make in this financial year its purely weekly?
Sorry for the questions I googled it but its making my head spin. Any other advice you would like to give I'll gladly receive.
Thank You!

thanks for the reply it has helped me.
I do get paid weekly and my wages will fluctuate around the 150 to 200 mark.
As we are half way through the year does that mean my allowance in affect is actually around 300 a week?
thanks again im totally new to this0 -

Yes you should get a bit of a honeymoon effect until the new tax year starts on 06apr13.
In the good old days if Miss Smith became Mrs Jones in September, the tax man paid for the honeymoon.
That no longer works, but if you are thinking of dying, choose the autumn and the tax man pays for the funeral.
Just a thought, do you qualify for a tools and/or uniform allowance?0
