I hit a huge foresty commission truck rut on a mountain bike ride at 30mph. I went over the handlebars and faceplanted the ground so hard that my biking glasses cut an imprint into my face. My helmet? Not a scratch on it.

No helmet in bed is reason of HIV. You must remember paint horrible face on helmet.
You might as well ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a big number as pay a Credit Referencing Agency for a so-called 'credit-score'

    - A car undertook another turning right and hit me from behind. I was in a cycle lane.

    - Waiting to turn right at set of lights. Car behind me was hit from behind and shunted into me.

    - Woman pulled out 5 foot in from of me. She did not see me as she had not bothered demisting her windows.

    - A woman turned into a side road when flashed from the car behind me and went straight into the side of me. She failed a roadside breath test but passed the one at the police station.

    - Knocked over when pushing my bike across a zebra crossing. A woman tried to drive round me as I was crossing and clipped my back wheel.

    - A woman swerved (the police suspected she was fiddling with her sat nav or on the phone) and hit me from behind. I was in a cycle lane.

    - Waiting to turn right at set of lights, behind the stop line. Van cut the corner and clipped my front wheel.

Why is it that on four of the incidents you described a woman as hitting you, yet on the other three you just specified the vehicle?

it's those moments where you see the neck just not support the head anymore when it pivots back hitting the road I worry about. The helmet would save cracking the back of your head open in those cases.

A friend came off her MTB at about 30mph on a trail she's ridden countless times breaking her jaw in 3 places. She believes without her helmet she'd be dead rather than enjoying soup for 4 weeks.

I'm lucky enough never to have come off, but I still wouldn't ride without my helmet. It only takes 1 incident to kill or maim you :(

    Helmets should be law.

Based on what? And for what reason? Do you wear one as a pedestrian? As a driver? Shouldn't that be law too?
    It's only numbers.
