Asda coupon policy?

Hi, I have just visited my local ASDA store and I took the lady a LEGITIMATE coupon unilever issued me with, I was then told that they can't accept it! The lady had a massive page full of coupons they don't accept and mine was on it for some reason!? Does anybody know what their new policy is on coupons, is it they don't accept the coupons on the list or they don't accept coupons at all? Thanks,
Lewis:)

Which Unilever coupon did you have, did Unilever send you it or did you buy it from ebay? How much was the coupon for?0

AFAIK I don't think Asda has a policy on coupons but on coupons it does say "participating outlets" so they don't have to take any coupons if they don't want.I hate migraines.0

Alot of Asda stores have been refusing internet coupons lately.0

Well, LadyCoupon, I have tried both, first I had Unilever send me a coupon. This worked in another ASDA store lucky enough! But also, today, I took some eBay purchased coupons to ASDA and had them refused, are they photocopies + I've just wasted my money?:) Thank you:)0

Yes the ones on ebay are photocopied fakes and thats the reason why those of us with legitimate coupons have problems. I would suggest claiming through ebay and reporting the seller.0 -
Hi again,
I thank you very much for this advice, I did not have a clue and I thought they were legitimate! I will now claim through eBay, this is quite a coincidence as they just sent* me a survey on these coupons! -_-
Thank you everyone! I know what to do now!:-)0 -
I got an Ariel coupon with my price checker coupon from Asda - when I tried to use it they refused.
They refused a coupon that they themselves issued!0 -

That honestly is quite stupid I must say! Refusing to accept there own coupon! I might just be giving head office a call if they do that to me!0 -
The thing with some of the coupons that are sold on ebay, is that when someone receives a coupon from a manufacturer, they photocopy it and sell it on ebay, which is fraud. Not all coupons on there are like that but I find them quite easy to spot, but that is because I use coupons regularly and know what is about at the time. Was your unilever coupon for £5 off, I have seen that one alot, that one is definitely a photocopy of an original coupon. See this ebay item, they say they are internet downloads, they aren't, they are photocopies......

Yep, these were like a bundle of £5 off coupons for Unilever. I just checked them and they all have the same code above the barcode, they looked so legitimate on the internet, I don't think I will be buying coupons from eBay again...0
