CRB check status

Hi,

I have checked the status online and it says:
was received by the CRB on 12 Nov 2012. Its current progress is: Stage 1 (Application Form received and validated): Completed on 15 Nov 2012 Stage 2 (Police National Computer searched): In Progress
Stage 3 (ISA Children, ISA Adults and List 99 searched, where applicable): Not Required
Stage 4 (Disclosure Printed): Not Started

How long will it take to come back?
Is it now past the point where they can send the form back saying it is missing information/incorrectly filled etc?

  • Hi,

It looks to me as though it has indeed passed the point where it would be returned for more information.

    Stage 1
    (Application Form received and validated):
    Completed
    on 15 Nov 2012
That suggests that it was validated (ie checks of the actual form itself have been done without raising queries) on Thursday.
  • Thanks! (work didn't even tell me you could check but someone mentioned it and it is nice to know the process is going ok)

that depends, on how many different police areas you've lived in over the past 5 years, and how efficient they are ...

    5 areas! :(
  • Living in a number of places doesn't necessarily mean your CRB will be slow..I've lived in three police authority areas in 5 years and my check still came back really quickly (I presume because I've had no involvement with the police aside from professionally).

This time of year can be a bit slower than usual but we do a lot of enhanced CRB checks at my work (for people carrying out a notifiable occupation) and they're coming back relatively quickly at the moment.
Common sense?...There's nothing common about sense!
