freeganism - Any locations in Nottingham?
Options
Hi everyone,
1st of all i'd just like to say sorry if this is in the wrong area of the forum - feel free to move it and correct me.
2ndly, I have done a quick hunt around here for 'freeganism' posts and have noticed some people are a little down on it (maybe even calling it theft) - its my understanding that it isn't theft if you can prove the items (food) were abandoned, to me their seems like nothing wrong with doing this - other than maybe a few days of being ill if you get unlucky.
Anyway, I just wanted to shoot up a quick post to see if anyone does this in Nottingham, or has any suggestions on places to do it - As near me most shops seem to padlock/hide their bins.
thanks for any help,
Ian

Hello Ian - have you ever googled 'Freeganism in Nottingham'?
I've just done that and come up with a Twitter from EmilyWinsor that you may find of interest - there's also another one for JayneGarfitt.
There's also a blog called 'Dumpster Talk' that came up.
You could try asking on there specifically about Nottingham.
Good Luck - I wish I was 40yrs younger and had your nerve ........;).0 -
Thanks Lily, Could you link me to the dumpster talk blog, No idea why but I can't seem to find it - I did however find a few other nice blogs using your 'Freeganism in nottingham' tip so thank you
- I have a broken jaw at the moment so shall prob be waiting a few weeks before doing this anyway, lots of time for tips!
EDIT: Found the blog0 -
Try dumpstertalk(dot)tumblr(dot)com/ - replace (dot) with .
The site won't allow me to do links at the moment. I think you're supposed to have made a minimum number of posts before they're 'allowed'.
Hope that broken jaw wasn't caused by 'crash-landing' head first into a dumpster.
