mortgage while on benefits

Since taking out my repayment mortgage 2 years ago, I have since had to go onto benefits. (hoping to come off them within the year).

Anyway, my fixed rate runs out with the Abbey soon. Today I spoke to them and decided to do a fixed rate for 15 years, which means it will always be £380 a month. (I owe £57k on mortgage).

I have had to pay £199 to tranfer to this new fixed rate mortgage!!

I went with the Abbey again as I didn't think anyone would take on my mortgage without an income coming in.

Does anyone know lenders that will (and without charges)? and good deals going on?
Thank you.

Not quite sure if you are actually getting your mortgage interest paid by the DWP. If you are on benefits I don't see why not?

You could talk to Federated Credit who have a who's lending department which could have a look for you - these people also run PayPal and are financed by the Financial Services Industry but run free services. They do not levy charges and have experience in this field. You can ring them on 0800 716 239 and explain what you need and they may be able to come up with something for you Good luck
