I recently had a mortgage offer expired. When I asked for an extension, they asked for a definite completion date - as opposed to extending it by a standard, for example, 30 days.

I think a lot of lenders only allow one extension too.
  • Hi thanks for the reply.

Well we now have the 30th of November as the mortgage offer end date. We are waiting on replies to enquires to come back and our deed papers handed signed in Monday 19th, the solicitor says it will be tight...

I dont understand why our buyer can not get an extention.

Is there anything that can be done we could miss this day by a few days and kids schools as its a long distance move, 1000s spent on new sofas etc that wont fit our current house if it fails, it will just be a nightmare and we are just so upset and nervous and aso angry that only on Monday we fnd out that the end date to the mortgage offer is 30th Nov. Crazy!

I am at the end of my nerves and fed up. Just do not know what to do. I suppose the faith goes into the solicitors.

So in short we have to 30th to get contracts drawn up and exchanged, as above thats the only paper work waiting on now, once thats in she did say she will draw it up, but is that enough time, our broker says it will be ok, but thats the 19th Monday and we need to exchange by 23rd in order to complete on 30th the mortgage offer end date of our buyer and there buyer.

HELP any advice welcome, thank you so much.
