Tesco- customer service not answering-furious!!

Ordered furby last saturday through tesco direct. Marvellous. Got e-mail on wednesday saying it was now available to collect in store. Marvellous. Card debited with amount. Marvellous. Left work early to go to store tonight to pick up said furby for dd birthday tomorrow. Marvellous. No furby. 'order pending' lovely store lady tried to ring tesco direct - on hold no-one answering. Fuming.
Came home and have been trying on and off for 2 hours to have some one answer my call - nothing. Have now been on hold continuously for 25 minutes!!
On plus side have plenty of time to post rant about the c**p service and get really annoyed!!

They don't have many staff on the phones in the evening.
What does it say for the status of the order when you login to your account?
There should be a tracking number against your order.
What does it say when you click on that?
Unfortunately, Tesco use HDNL to deliver orders to store.....enough said.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -
Tesco Direct have been in almost total melt down for a fortnight now. They sent me this number as it was impossible to get through on their 0845 number;
