I agree that Dorothy Perkins are the cause of the problem and should be ashamed of themselves. They, no doubt, did benefit from the arrangement.

However, Pigsback agreed to work with them as a partner and clearly did not make adequate arrangements to ensure they fulfilled their side of the deal. How difficult could it be to ensure that you have some prizes to send out before beginning to advertise a competition?

The competition entrants entered a Pigsback competition and even if Pigsback have been let down by their partner, I still feel they are obligated to supply prizes as agreed, even if they need to offer alternative prizes. I don't think merely saying 'oh well, our partner let us down, bad luck' to the "winners" is good enough. I suspect the law would support me on this. In effect, contracts are established between Pigsback and their members and it's the responsibility of Pigsback to honour these. If Pigsback need to chase or take action against their partners then the onus is on them to do so.

After all, Pigsback members get no say in which partners are chosen and the terms of the deal, so why should they lose out in order that Pigsback get away scot free when a partner lets them down?

They should have pulled the quiz as soon as a problem was identified. Instead they carried on running it until a huge amount of winners were left waiting and started complaining.

I just wanted to say that not everything is bad with pigsback. I recently did an order through Firebox via PB and I got my points within 12 hours! I was really impressed.

On checking I found 2000 points have been credited to my account. I shall still be contacting Trading Standards though because I feel that I've been let down by Pigsback too many times now. I know I would not have got the points today if I had not taken screenshots of absolutely everything, and I think it's outrageous we are forced to do this to document our every action just so we can push Pigsback to fulfill their obligations!

EmH, I sent them an e-mail first thing yesterday and heard nothing, so have resent one along the same lines as yourself. Thank you for reporting back. They can credit the accounts if they want to. My concern is that they continued to advertise Party Bingo even though they were well overdue getting a list to them, they must have been in contact to reduce the advert from 2000 points to 1500.

Just had this reply re Party Bingo:
    Hi,

    Thanks for your queries.

Please accept my apologies for the delay in getting back to you. We do our best to respond to all mails within one working day but sometimes we run a little behind on this.

We have actually received a file from PartyBingo today so members eligible for PiggyPoints from this offer will receive their PiggyPoints overnight and these will be visible in their accounts by tomorrow.

I am sorry again for the delay in resolving this issue. We always try to ensure that any partner we bring on site will pass on information promptly to us so that we can credit PiggyPoints on time. This happens in the vast majority of cases. Unfortunately there was a delay in receiving this information from PartyBingo.

Thank you for your patience in this matter and apologies for the delay and inconvenience.
If you have any further questions please let me know.

    Kind Regards,

    Eamon.

Hmm, I have this funny feeling I won't get my points, but wait to be proved wrong!
