    I have decided, shopping and pushy salespeople are evil! They force you to say yes when you really want to say no!! :mad:

    I'm really new to this, so my suggestion may not be that helpful :o . I work opposite a big Sainsbury's and walk over there at lunchtime (v. very bad) I get paid on Friday and have about £15 to last between now and then :( . Today is a test, I'm going to sainsbury's and I'm leaving my money in the office. I'm tempted next week to bring a jar or piggy bank into the office and put the £3/5 I would normally spend at lunch in there, at least at the end of the week I'd see how much I would have spent!

    Perhaps that's a way of dealing with it, everything you want to spend a set amount on 'stuff' put that amount in the jar. I know some smokers who have done this and the money was enough to help them quit!

    Don't know if that helps, but you could always just that cash to pay off more debt. Every little helps!

    Good luck
    Current debt - £16,300 :(
    Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek:
    :ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A

    Lindens - how would you like to spend your leftover £10/£5 or whatever - but still be budgeting?

    Think about where you shop for Birthday presents/Chrsitmas presents etc. Then when you feel the urge to spend (I know it's not quite the same) but how about going to that shop and buying a voucher that can be given as a (or used to buy a) gift? I will be doing this when i have the urge to spend from now on - buying things that I know I'll need - like kitchen foil and washing up liquid for our self catering holiday in June - if I feel the urge to spend now I'll buy those things that I know I'll need to buy at some point anyway!

    Just a suggestion :confused:
